Individuals and small businesses are often at a disadavantage when it comes to knowing their legal rights.  Usually our clients' disputes involve large insurance or corporate interests on the other side who have in-house counsel or large Atlanta law firms representing them.  This is where we can help.  Below we discuss key areas of law that directly affect typical situations that our clients face.  Hopefully these brief summaries will help you to better understand your rights.  Of course, these summaries are no substitute for legal counsel.  If you need further help, call us at: 770-424-1234 or 877-266-3694 or contact us through our "Do I have a case form".

An Insurance Lawyer Who Understands Insurance Law

Posted on Jun, 18 2010

My name is Matt Nasrallah, I’m a trial lawyer and I want to help you.  When I got out of law school, I was hired by a law firm that defended insurance companies.  For my first four years of law practice my clients were insurance adjusters.  Insurance adjusters are not bad people.  They have a job to do.  An insurance adjuster’s goal is simple: pay as little as possible on every claim.  Why is that?

Understanding Day Care & Child Care Abuse

Posted on May, 26 2010

I’m a lawyer.  I see the worst of society. Daycares and child care facilities, like so many other businesses, have their ugly side. For single moms, single dads and working parents quality daycare is critical.  What is represented as “quality” too often is nothing more than quantity. Daycare in Georgia has become a very profitable business for some local providers, and more increasingly for regional and national conglomerates.  Profitability often hinges on cheap labor.  Cheap labor comes in many forms, as so many parents are aware: inexperienced young workers, inconsistent part-time help, and even illegal aliens.  When turnover is high a parent should be concerned.  If your child is English speaking, then the worker responsible for your child should also be speak English.  Beware of the inconsistent part-time help that comes and goes.  Consistency is vital to quality care.  Experience matters - ask about each workers experience. Addressing these issues can be key factors in protecting your family from day care or child care abuse.

Do I have enough auto insurance?

Posted on Mar, 28 2009

Sometimes the driver who is at fault in an auto wreck is underinsured.  This means that the amount of liability insurance that the at fault driver is carrying is not sufficient to pay for your medical bills, disability, pain and suffering, and lost wages.  This can be particularly so when someone has been killed in the wreck.  When this happens you need a lawyer to explore all possible sources of compensation.
